Avoid staying there at all cost, it's better to sleep in your car than there! The stench throughout the building is nauseating, our room (the only one available) was incredibly filthy, thick dust and mold everywhere, flies roaming in the room; my wife had to clean some of the most disgusting areas (inside the fridge is a particular highlight). It looks like most of the people staying there live there long-term. Hoping to block those memories forever, but so far not succeeding.
Well, I’ve stayed in a few horrible hotels in my life, mostly in third world countries, but this one rates a -10 in my book. I always use Hotels.com and they have never let me down, so I’m pretty sure this place got listed by accident. It was filthy. What appeared to be chocolate milk was spilled on the wall and carpet. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. There was sand, hair and stains on the comforter, hair and dirt in the bathtub, broken lock on the door and I could go on and on. It was the only place available last minute within a 40 mile radius and had bad reviews, but I really at least expected it to be livable for one night. I asked for another room and the manager showed me two which were comparable. I ended up putting the comforter on the floor and bringing in a blanket and pillow from my car. I have no idea how this placed slipped by the health department or hotels.com. I hope this review will help keep other people from having a similar experience. I also hope enough bad reviews will force the management into cleaning up the place or closing it down.
The place was horrible dirty sheets stains on the towels stains on the sheets smell like cigarettes

Location was good. Didn’t like the fact that it said no smoking on all rooms yet our room smelled of smoke as did the hallway. There were burn holes in the comforter, tub was a little dirty, mini fridge was disgusting, as was microwave.
I paid for a room with a king size bed. Instead got a regular room with 2 small beds. They were both very uncomfortable and small. When i was shown to my room the scan card didnt work so i was put let in. Put my stuff down and was asked to go to another room before i could get my stuff. Then brought back to origional room and was told the scanner was broke and the clerk showed me how to open the door by jimming the lock with the card! Then we looked at the room and the toilet didnt flush. We went down stairs and told them and i was shown how to turn the knob on the back to turn on the water like thats wat i was supposed to do! Toilet was dirty and a huge rud stain in the carpet along with the worse beds ever. Lights had broken bulbs with broken glass left in 1 fixture above the bed. Only plus was a decent amount of tv channels.

The room cost $100 a night and it’s worth about $55. Badly needs updating.
I stayed here as it was the only hotel under $100 a night. Do yourself a favor and spend the money. The place is located in a bad part of a not great town, it smells, there were holes in the sheets and cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. The shower had rust coming out of the faucet when I turned it on, the sink made an awful noise when I turned it on. Was supposed to hear back from the owner who promised to make it right. Never did
The staff was very nice. The bathroom door didn't have a latch. No phone book for looking up information. There was room for a table and a couple of chair's - but the room only came with one chair. Took a shower and it was like being in a MRI machine. Was offered a different room to take a shower (only) by management. A no smoking room was requested, but the bedding had cigarette burns on it. The room didn't smell like cigarettes though.
Do not under any circumstance stay at this hotel, I booked this hotel for my nephew and his wife. It was a filthy disgusting disgrace of a hovel. burn holes in the bedding ground in doritos and salsa on the bedding. He had to go and buy sheets as they were covered in some unknown substance, the toilet and shower had feces dried to them. When my nephew complained about the filth at the desk. They gave him a dirty rag and an unidentified bottle of some supposed cleaner.
Royal Inn does not want repeat business. Towel was in use before but not cleaned. No way to turn down remote volume or mute sound. The refrigerator is not leveled, making access difficult. The pillow cases did seem fresh
I am not one to complain, but this place warrants a comment. The non-smoking room stank of cigarette smoke, the bed clothes and bathroom were dirty, the shower curtain fell off, and the toilet got clogged.
I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst! I was shown 3 rooms before i could stand to even be in one and not gag from the smell! Rooms are very dirty and smell horrible. If they would have given me a refund i would have left but they said no refunds! Not sure why expedia would even deal with a place likethis but i willbe hesitant to use expedia again for this reason.
This is a building that appears to have been small apartments at some point. Everything about the rooms, hallways, etc. was outdated and worn, which made it difficult to determine if anything was clean. The toilet did not work properly in the first room I was given, and the second room I was given smelled of smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The deadbolt lock on the door of the room and the light switch/fixture as you entered the room did not always work properly. The desk staff was not able to provide me with a receipt at checkout. I will not be staying there again!
