"Love the hosts and the view"

"A hidden gem. We are hoping to make this our annual couple's retreat. Great location, gorgeous room and we would happily have sat out the back watching the waterfall over a drink forever. The only drawback, and it feels like a big one, is that we have to go back to our normal life now."

"Great location, very close to the heart of the village. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well appointed and had a very comfortable bed. Heat pumps both upstairs and downstairs made it comfortable whatever the temperature. Communication was excellent throughout. Would happily stay again."

"Great place to stay, possibly our fourth or fifth time. Last time as about 10 years ago, could do with a bit of refreshing, but all in all, we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"What a beautiful little haven in such a quiet locality. The apartment had everything you could wish for - equipment, cleanliness, parking, sun streaming in and so quiet. Andrew was the perfect host who always replied very quickly. Just wish I could have stayed longer. Have already been recommending it to friends."

"I got bed bugs from this place. After waking up after the first day I noticed red bumps on my feet and ankles. I thought maybe it was from a reaction from somewhere else. Put lotion on and they started to go away. Then after the second night, I woke up with far worse bites. When pulling back the sheets I then discovered black dots all along the foot of the bed in the sheets and red like little bugs. I tried to talk to the cleaning person that morning about this and she was dismissive of my...

"Annette was a great host, very accommodating and responsive."

"Awesome villa, handy to cafes, supermarket etc. Awesome hosts, easy to deal with and great communication. Very clean and tidy, wifi good. Definitely recommend."

"Thank you for a lovely, peaceful stay in your off-grid space, so thoughtfully laid out and welcoming. Kaipara Flats is a special place, and so conveniently near to the humming town of Warkworth, plus to the beautiful Kaipara Hills. Thank you again"

"A well appointed, spotlessly clean, and oh so comfortable hideaway, with lovely bush views. Hearing kiwi calling in the night and kākā during the day added to the feeling of being somewhere very special. Our hosts were lovely, and generous with their time and suggestions of things to do. The bach is just up the road from the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary (and night-time kiwi spotting), and the Matakana Market and Cinema are just 10 minutes away. We'll be back!"

"The place was absolutely splendid! And amazing night away where we got to sit outside by the fire and it was the best night for stargazing. The local Pizza Barn is so worth it too Overall and incredible night at such an incredible place!"

"Lawerence was fab, he helped our wobbly check in due to enjoyment the Matakana Pub and then allowed for a late check out. The outside bath and fire were magic. Within a short stroll to the Matakana Willage so very convenient.Would absolutely recommend to any couple wishing to "Get Away" and reconnect. Magic in Matakana. We"ll be back..."

"Fabulous"

"Thank you Dianne for having us :-). A beautiful place to stay and catered everyone."

"The property is cool. We took our elderly mum. The entrance to the house is flat and was easy for her to navigate. The house is well appointed in Kiwi chic, very comfortable beds, bathroom with shower and bath is very tidy, address was very easy to find, 2 mins from the Warkworth Township. Steve is a top chap, nothing is a problem. The sheep on the other hand were a complete disappoinment, generally disinterested in us."

"Great location!"
