When I arrived at the front desk, no one was present but there is a sign-in Kiosk that requires your name and phone number to help identify you. The kiosk is supposed to supply a physical (old-fashioned) actual key as opposed to a card key.
It was unable to identify me because apparently, the front desk needs to be provided your information by phone BEFORE your arrival. Evidently, they plug in the info you provide them whereby the kiosk is linked up and made ready for your arrival.
Fortunately, someone did appear at the front desk and was able to manually validate my information and get the kiosk to cough up my room key.
Now the review: I was unfamiliar with the town as it was my first visit to Westport. The motel is a place for fishermen to stay. (I am not a fisherman but I have family who I was visiting for the first time who live about eight miles to the east. Anyway, I thought that the sea air and sea birds and the location being just down the street from a charming row of restaurants and retail businesses right on the docks was really nice.
My particular room was adjacent to the office and ws equpped with a full size refrigerator, full electric range and oven, microwave and plenty of cookware and utensils. Also a full kitchen sink. The bathroom, shower and bed were perfect for my stay."
