"Be careful with the raccoons. The AM. Front desk employees only help you because they have to. Rooms are clean and the Maid service is excellent! The restaurant personnel is very friendly and professional."

"The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. We stayed in September 2026, and unfortunately, there was a lot of construction going on during our stay. The construction started early in the morning, and we weren’t able to walk directly down to the beach from the hotel like I had expected. I had stayed at the villas next door the previous year, so I assumed it would be a similar experience. I understand that once all the construction is finished, the property is going to be amazing. I also noticed they are building a new pool, which I’m sure will be a great addition. My biggest disappointment was that we weren’t warned about the construction ahead of time. Had we known, we may have chosen a different hotel for this trip. Other than that, everything else was great. The staff was very helpful whenever we needed assistance, including getting a taxi and helping us with our three-island tour. One other thing we weren’t told about was the entrance fee to Yalahau. Last year, this was included in our tour ticket, so we were surprised to find out there was an additional charge this time. Overall, aside from the construction and a few unexpected details, we had a good stay. Once the construction is completed, I can definitely see this being a beautiful property and a great place to stay."

"Great place to enjoy Holbox. Helpful friendly staff throughout. Very close to the beach with its own sun beds. Two pools. It was clean and relaxing. About 10 minute walk to the town centre, so you can be there if you want, but easily escape."

"We wanted a quick getaway where we didn’t know anyone and where there was no sargassum. The beach is beautiful can walk for hours. We loved the location of the property. Beach was steps away. Restaurants and shops walking distance. The unit was clean and well appointed. Had a kettle, microwave, stove and a full size fridge which was a great place to keep your refreshments chilly! The check in was quick and easy. Liked having the key box outside so you could just lock up and walk away without having to haul around the house keys. The door needs a tune up, new handle and an adjustment to make it open and close a bit better. Really enjoyed our stay"

"We had an amazing stay at Casa Mia El Cuyo! From Adrian's warm welcome to the owner Marco's presence, everyone made us feel right at home. The Suite was great. The bed is very comfortable. The ventilators were very silent and efficient. It is a serene and peaceful environment. The view from the room was spectacular between the far view on the jungle and the tip of branches reaching to the level of our windows allowing us to see all kinds of exotic birds feeding from the fruits in the trees, it was magical. And their breakfast was nutritious and delicious. The scramble Mexican eggs and the cheese omelette were amazing, as well as the generous fruits on the plate. The whole place felt very romantic. We look forward to return again very soon! Gracie mile."
