"When we pulled into the parking lot the property looked old, not run down, but old. However the wing we were booked into was completely and very tastefully renewed and the rooms were very modern and upscale, especially for the price. I understood that the place shut down in October 2025 so that everything would look great by May 2026, and it was. I understood that more were slated to be renewed in winter 2026-27. They have an in-house concession restaurant adjacent, which we did not use. A great Greek restaurant downtown, and the Inn’s “grab and go” breakfast essentials (take back to your room since no tables in lobby) were much, much better than most free breakfasts. Shortly before we arrived I received an alert stating that there was no elevator - yikes, a bit too late if I needed one. Our ground floor rooms were very accessible and as mentioned above very nice. The registration area might be an issue if you were wheelchair bound- it is 4 steps below the entry foyer. I asked about that and was told by a very friendly registration person that the registration person would simply walk up the stairs if needed to get you checked in - but you might want to specify that you want a room on the first floor (of a recently renovated wing)! Very enjoyable stay."

"Been here 5 times clean, excellent staff and the breakfast is good. Refrigerator and microwave and coffee pot with coffee in the room is convent. Also coffee 24 hrs in the lobby Pool and hot tub very clean also the excercise equipment."

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on Ingham Pond. The property was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We stayed the first weekend in October and the views with the autumn trees were stunning. The house was cozy and welcoming and we especially enjoyed spending time by the lake and having dinners on the covered patio.Roger the host, was friendly, responsive and made the whole experience seamless.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a peaceful, and memorable escape."

"Fish Upon a Star is fantastic. Comfortable, well appointed, quiet, beautiful setting, and super helpful host all in the shores of a gorgeous lake. We use VRBO a lot and this one is going on our favorites list! We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this place!"

"Our friendly hosts were next door and available to help with anything we might need. The cottage was clean and compact, the lake view was lovely and the rowboat with electric motor was perfect for fishing. Sat on the dock and watched the loons, and enjoyed the screened porch when the weather didn't allow us outside. This property had several things we appreciated that a different cottage we used on an earlier visit to the lake did not have: WiFi, streaming television, a washer/ dryer, a hair dryer, and owners did not ask us to clean anything before we left! And it was less expensive too. We definitely would stay here again."

"This is a lovely place that seems like new. The kitchen was very well stocked including lots of spices and coffee, etc. It wasn't warm enough for us to sit on the front porch, which we would have enjoyed. We loved having the hot tub. It's off the beaten path, and we were glad that we'd brought all the food we needed. The bed was comfortable. We recommend it as a nice getaway."
