"Very clean, new modern appliances; beautiful warm interior decor with plenty of linens, blankets etc.; wonderful location so close to the headlands trail and beaches yet far enough away from other homes to insure privacy and precious feeling of rural seclusion; very helpful, welcoming and responsive hosts, Could hear the sea from inside the house so very peaceful and beautiful weekend spent there. "When I checked in Jade was so pleasant! She checked me in quickly and told me to be sure to ask her if I needed anything else. She gave me directions to places to eat and also the art center in the Redwoods. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Surf Inn again!"

"A previous renter wrote a less than flattering review in June regarding a broken microwave, torn window screens and malfunctioning stove. Concerned, I contacted the owner who assured us all the stated issues were fixed. Upon arriving, we were impressed with the “prosumer” Viking stove, very nice inverter microwave, and the well furnished and overall modern kitchen. The house was clean and did not smell, the rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. The courtyard was comfortable. The rear deck had a clean hot tub for relaxation after a day of hiking and biking. The front parking area had more than enough room for two midsized SUVs. The location was strategically convenient with Gualala and the SR Lodge being easily accessible either by car or hike/bike. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. We definitely would consider renting Sea Drift again."

"This would have been a five-star experience if not for the ant infestation in the kitchen that persisted throughout my stay. The property management company that handles this rental responded promptly when I notified them about the problem, but the bait traps they put out in response didn’t solve the problem. The house itself is lovely with a great view! And communication with the property management company was easy."
