"The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Parking was easy. We were able to walk into town along the canal which runs along the rear of the hotel in 5- 10 minutes. Very enjoyable stay."

"Checkin was horrendous. First room was unmade, there was bedlinen lining the corridors & numerous guests were irritated that their room was not ready. Checkin is at 4 but my room was not ready until. The bed was very uncomfortable & the room was cold (with a pathetic small oil heater to try & heat it). "

"When we got to the room the heating was on full and with the hotel being wooden it was like walking into a sauna. The bed was a very springy and you needed to hold tight if your wife was turning over. All in all we wasn’t able to sleep so left at 23:00 to go home. "
