Footpath to Whinlatter Forest Park This photograph shows part of the footpath that runs from the small village of Thornthwaite in a south-westerly direction towards Thornthwaite Forest and Whinlatter Forest Park. Just beyond the houses shown in this picture the path enters the forest and follows the course of Comb Beck. The path then makes its way to Comb Plantation and the visitors' centre.

Track and footpath to Thornthwaite This photograph was taken from the minor road at Chapelbeck Bridge looking in a westerly direction towards Thornthwaite Forest. The public footpath lies just to the right of the track. Chapel Beck runs parallel with the track within the trees shown on the right-hand side of the picture.
