At the base station for the Mount Washington, New Hampshire cog railway. This year (2019) is the 150 Anniversary of the railway. The old steam engines have largely been replaced by diesel and as a consequence the trip up to the summit is a little faster and perhaps less cough inducing for folks who are no longer exposed to smoke from the old engines. They still run the old steam engines occasionally during the day however.

What a magical place Mt. Washington is!! Was not expecting to be so nervous on the "double lane" road that leads up to the summit mountain camp, 8 miles in total but at least 4 are extremely dangerous travel on tight mountain roads with certain death if u happen to go off the side.. Leading to a elevation around 6300 feet, the highest point in the north east!!!
