Tucked away in a corner of Thimpu is this quiet and unassuming Simtokha Dzong. Beautiful carvings, hand painted flags, intricate mani prayer wheels, an old courtyard from the 16th century. Its easy to say this was my favorite place in Bhutan. You can spend hours here just reading a book or soaking in the calm.
