"Cute house, went last minute. Temperatures were in the negative which was great for Castle in the Clouds, just down the road as it was dead!Must be a super fun place in the summer "

"If I could give a zero star, I would. The home heating wasn't working the day we arrived. We got in touch with the host but they seems to not have any urgency with our concerns even though I stated I have a small child. We addressed the heating issue again the next morning, Sat and was told a plumber will be there. Plumber came after several hours by 1pm and tried to solve the issue for about 4 hours and was told the pipe froze. When the plumber left the heating issue turned out was never fixed. That Sat night the thermostat shows 66º but gradually decreased. The next morning, Sun, upstairs thermostat was showing 53º and downstairs 50º. We checked out as quickly as we could by 8:30am. Overall, miserable weekend from staying at this place."

"What a beautiful house. Everything about the house was great - location, kitchen, bedrooms, living and relaxation rooms - and outside areas with games and furniture to relax in this great environment. Host (Bob) was incredibly nice, very friendly & accommodating and very available however gave us our space as well. Family wedding nearby so we had 4 generations under one roof: from 1 year old baby to great grandparents (92). Fantastic place for a visit, family reunion, or to scout out and enjoy a beautiful lake and mountain region of NH. We will definitely be back!!"

"Perfect location! Super comfortable, firm beds. House was clean and easy instructions. Great open view of the stars at night, and the balmoral beach and amenities are great. Kids loved fishing off the dock and we enjoyed the large firepit and stargazing."

"Cleanliness and overall maintenance of this property is very poor. Decking was falling apart so be careful especially if you bring small children. The house definitely needs a thorough cleaning and maintenance. Someone had wiped down the kitchen and bathrooms, emptied trash, but that was about it. Junk and candy wrappers under beds. Dust and cobwebs throughout entire house. I will say the kitchen was adequate with working appliances, stocked with dishes and utensils. However pots and pans need a serious upgrade. The non scratch cookware is mostly scratched so bring your own if you plan on cooking. Grill was very dirty. The basement is uninhabitable given the musty dank smell. Overall not healthy! You can see from their photos this property is dated but that’s not the problem. Unfortunately it has been let go. Paint mostly peeling off the deck and loose boards. Not safe! Downstairs bathroom shower basically unusable. This property has potential as the location and lake view are great, but needs some very serious maintenance and a professional cleaner. Disappointing that other reviews do not reflect the condition of this property. I am doubting renting through VRBO in the future for this reason. "

"Lovely weather, swam daily. Saw the eagle a few times, herons, hummingbirds, great blue heron. Everything we needed was there for our enjoyment. Terrific beach. "
