"Excellent all round "

"Excellent location, staff is lovely. Hotel is very clean in all areas but could do better with room cleaning. We had to remind to clean ours couple of times even after putting the sign on the door. When we came back, it seemed like being done in a rush. Bed was made but pillows were not neatly kept. It was overall good but would have expected better from a 4 star property. Food is another area for improvement. Really slow service and not so great tasting food but priced really high. There are not many options around unless you drive up to Windermere giving you no choice but eat here. Swimming Pool was nice, I personally felt my eyes sting due to Chlorine so couldn’t use for more than once but the size of pool is decent. Gym is also very small but I didn’t use so can’t comment. I didn’t use the spa treatment either but looked good. Overall good experience and will recommend or come again only at cheaper price than what we had to pay for last minute booking this time. "

"Close to bars, restaurants and lake. Hotel is beautiful staff are lovely and helpful. Room was clean and we had a great view of the lake. We had a great stay. "

"Our view was awful from our room . Ground floor rm 12 . Looked out on to pub that’s was closed. Renavation work . A big pile of scrap . The room it’s self was lovely . "

"Stayed here recently and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The overall condition of the property feels quite poor and in need of refurbishment. The rooms and facilities seem outdated and would really benefit from a proper upgrade. One of the main issues was the noise — we could clearly hear flushing and plumbing from the room above, which was quite disruptive, especially at night. Parking was also misleading. The listing suggests that parking is included, but in reality it is not, which caused confusion and inconvenience on arrival. Overall, the hotel has potential due to its location, but in its current condition it does not offer good value. A significant upgrade and clearer information for guests would make a big difference."

"Room good size but needed but of maintenance. Marks on walls, wallpaper coming off. A bit dated but comfortable bed. Bath had 2 long hairs in it but otherwise clean. Car park small and managed to get last space. Saw 2 other cars come in but no spaces left. Also sign saying non residents could park for a fee? Do not think this should be allowed given size of car park. Must be difficult for guests with children and luggage if they can't get a space."

"Not great unfortunately. Room definitely wasnt superior we should have been staying for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Breakfast was tasteless and the plates were stone cold. However staff were amazing. "
