"The hotel was clean and facilities generally good, although beds not overly comfortable. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good as was the parking. I would use the hotel again in the future. Our stay was spoiled slightly by other noisy guests and unsupervised children in the restaurant and running in the corridors in the early hours. This was not the hotel’s fault. Good location"

"The room was clean and tidy with tv and tea making facility. Shower was a good standard with decent hot water supply. Staff were extremely helpful and approachable and good size bar and restaurant. The hotel itself is a bit dated but you could see that renovations are taking place to update it. There are a number of attractions nearby notwithstanding the airport and I would very much recommend it for its facilities, location and price."

"Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals."

"The reason we chose the Royal Ashton was that they allow pets (for a fee) The room are clean and have good beds. But this hotel has been very ambitious in cramming as many rooms as possible in an old building!"

"Well where do i start. This hotel needs a good makeover or even shut down. The guy that checked us in was lovely 😍. It advertised it has a lift and both were broken we were on top floor and with breathing difficulties we struggled. Rooms are awful old carpets, mold on shower curtain, no wardrobe only hanging space on a rail that was wobbly, sink was in room, old furniture, the only thing that was nice was the comfortable bed but even this was small. Hotels.Com i recommend you taking this hotel off your site as it will make the company to look bad. Hotel is like fawlty towers never will we stay here again too far out from town too"
