"The Mario hotel was absolute bliss! The location is remote but the atmosphere is fantastic! We were there for 10 nights and were able to explore all of the west side of the island!"

"New hotel with great potential. Location is stunning, restaurant and bar very good, rooms simple but nice. Good air con. Comfy beds Downsides - the hotel often has no transport available for tours which is a real issue. There’s no way to see anything in Sumba without a car and driver. There’s pool was also not well maintained. Spa not open and building work ongoing though noise not bad at all. Despite the challenges, I enjoyed my trip. I’d definitely return. I suspect many of these issues will be resolved with time."
