"The room was large and bed was very comfortable. The room could have benefited with more lighting in the door area near the mirror and bathroom lighting was not good as well. Dining room area was cold and poorly lit. We valet parked and had no problem with this. Close to the capitol and some good bars and restaurants."

"The hotel was clean and attractive inside, The breakfast was good. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the pool area was very plain and unattractive. A few potted plants would make a big difference. At most nice hotels the pool are is very inviting. This was not inviting at all. To be fair, the pool was very clean. The only chairs, tables, and loungers were in a little alcove near the pool. If you wanted to sit by the pool you had to move tables and chairs out to the poolside. The floor around the pool needed to be washed. There were many stains on the pool deck. Also the outside entrance to the hotel needed to be cleaned. Our first impression was not good. As soon as we walked inside we were pleasantly sud on how nice the hotel was."

"The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very welcoming. I am removing a star for two reasons: 1. my room was very humid and 2. it does not have an elevator which can be an inconvenience if you've been traveling for a bit or have a lot of luggage. Other than that, I highly recommend it. The room was comfortable and the decor was fun."

"2 years ago I left a negative review after an unpleasant experience during our stay. We decided to give them another chance and stayed there for two nights, while visiting our FSU student, son. They were offering the best price per night, which hooked us and we had a much better experience. The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff, which is what we had an issue with last time, was stellar: friendly, accommodating and professional. Our 3rd floor, standard king room was clean, quiet, comfortable and nicely appointed. We took advantage of the free breakfast on the first morning. They could have used more staff, as there were dirty tables, no clean cutlery and they were low or out of many food and drink options. That being said, the one woman I saw working was doing her best and was apologetic and helpful. The food itself was tasty and the dining setting is quite nice. I'm glad we decided to give them another try, as we have always liked this hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future."

"When I checked in I had already paid for the room through Expedia. When I went to the counter the first person was very rude due to an incident fee that was required that I was not made aware of beforehand. Charges were declined through my card due to the first charge and no exceptions were allowed. I was stuck in the middle of Florida with nowhere to go. Later the second person was so much more willing to take the extra steps to help me out and everything cleared. The remaining stay was excellent."

"We stayed here for two nights. When we arrived my husband used the restroom on the lobby level- trash was overflowing , he went to use it again today and the trash was still in the same state- he took a photo that first day for reviews and again today and it’s the same trash pile which likely means that space has not been cleaned recently.. printer was broken in business area , and toiletries available if you forgot something were non existent . My husband forgot shaving cream and was given some old powder that didn’t do anything when you added water to it. It seems the staff is willing to help which is great but amenities and cleanliness could be better for sure."
