"Pleasant neighborhood, easy access to downtown. It was comfortable enough. This could be a phenomenal place with a little better housekeeping and attention to detail. It was very reasonably priced and I imagine a family would love the basement game room. The owner was responsive to text and email communication.Six lightbulbs were burned out. We had to scavenge bulbs and lamps from other rooms in order to have bedside lamps. I did not receive a welcome/instruction letter until after check-in...

"Perfect spot for my needs. I am a retired traveler, and this place had everything I needed. The photos are accurate, the apartment was very clean, and everything worked properly. It is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and nightlife within walking distance (the Thai restaurant in the building was a huge bonus). It is in walking distance of the Capitol Building, the sculpture garden, and Gray's Lake. It is on a major surface road, but there was zero noise in the apartment....

"We planned a spur of the moment trip, found this house easily on the Vernon app. . It was easy to find when we arrived in Des Moines, centrally located, in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The host, Christina, kept communication easy and in a timely manner! The house was set up in a way we felt at home while we stayed there."
