📍Standing Stone, near Corgarff Castle Located by the roadside between the Lecht Ski Centre and Corgarff Castle, stands a strange set of "windbreaker seats" and a standing stone. The stone has a couple of holes bored through which offer a unique view towards Corgarff Castle. The windbreaker seats are a clever addition to the awesome view. When I visited the temperature was at -1 c and a windchill ❄️ of the North Pole, it was a welcome shelter for picture taking.
📍Lecht Mine, Tomintoul A former iron and manganese mining site, located a couple of miles North of the Lecht Ski Centre. The mine was used as far back as 1730, but as of today only the shell has survived, although there are illustrations of how the mine once looked.
