"Hotel is lovely with a great setting on the river, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was first class, as was the Evening meal, did feel that the tables in the restaurant were a bit dated so a cloth to cover the table would have made it look so much nicer, I appreciate that the building is very old and had I known how noisy it was going to be I would have asked for an upstairs room, you could hear every step because the floorboards were very creaky and none of room doors had a soft close mechanism so there was constant door banging, it would also have been helpful if all guests could be reminded to be considerate by keeping the noise down when returning to there rooms late at night on the information sheet in the room. Having said all that it is a beautiful place in a great location and I will definitely be returning in a few months. Thank you "

"Easy parking with plenty of bays"

"Friendly staff. Lots of stairs. Very noisy room, loud fans running outside the window from 6.30am to 9.30pm, loud music in the evenings (but not too late into the night). I imagine other rooms were better than mine as I was unlucky to get the one with fans outside of all windows"

"The hotel has been recently refurbished and was delightful and the bedroom excellent. The staff were so helpful and to park in the hotel car park was a bonus. Just a short walk into Salisbury was perfect. The only downside was the hotel restaurant as the food was very disappointing. The food had obviously been frozen and did not resemble the pictures on the website. There was only one other couple eating there so maybe other guests chose to eat locally. However I would recommend staying there and we will return."

"Lodge was nice and clean albeit small. Area was nice with lovely walks nearby. Lots to do on site, gym, swimming, arcade, soft play, restaurants, shop etc. Pool changing area needs a good clean and shop is expensive. Other than that place is nice, right in the middle of the New Forest,"

"Such a pleasure staying here for the night while i was visiting my son. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended "
