"The location was great, with friendly, helpful staff and rooms had everything needed albeit a bit basic and plug sockets seemed a bit scarce. Breakfast was in a lovely area and really good - nice touch bringing fresh eggs of your choice. I would suggest bringing toast too so they don’t go cold when waiting for toaster! Would recommend as a great base for short trip."

"Caravan was tired but very clean. Value good for what we paid. Excellent site, amenities are great, everything required to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Pool area very clean. "Unsatisfactory. No kettle in the room—I had to ask twice. Restaurant service was slow and inattentive. The steak pie had very little gravy, and the same staff member was on her phone at the service counter, so I couldn’t request more. No offer of dessert. The bedroom door emits a mini alarm when opened, which is irritating late at night. The walls are thin, with corridor doors slamming and disrupting sleep. At breakfast, up to five staff were gathered near reception, coming and going for drinks, but none assisting in the dining area; only the chef entered the buffet area, still wearing an outdoor puffer coat. On checkout, I was asked for an additional balance despite having already paid in full; when I produced my receipt, the manager (polite and not suspect of wrongdoing) immediately resolved it, suggesting a system error."

"This was lovely in many ways. My room was spotless and spacious, Breakfast was hot and plentiful with a reasonable choice. The new season has maybe not kicked in as some of the outside areas could do with a little tidy up. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. This is not the fault of the hotel, but it is worth noting that there are few public transport links to the local towns and seemingly none before 9.30 am or after about 7 pm.,"

"Had to ask for a room change on arrival as too many steps at various intervals on way to room E.g bathroom had 2 step drop into the room. Not ideal for elderly couple. Having said rhat one has to remember that it is one of the oldest buildings in the town. This was our second stay there and will be back ."
