So grab a beach chair, kick off your flip-flops, sip a tasty boat drink — and let your gaze rest upon an expanse of fine white sand, crystal-clear waters and St. John island in the distance. Need a little more activity? Try your hand at sailing, paragliding or windsurfing, then relax and soak up those island tunes and a salty margarita with your fellow Parrotheads.

Coral World lies less than 600 yards away. Swim with sea lions or take the sea trek along the ocean floor and don’t miss feeding time at the Undersea Observatory Tower. Further afield, tee off at one of the top courses in the Caribbean — spectacular Mahogany Run.

Soak up pirate lore at Blackbeard’s Castle, then climb the famous 99 Steps of Charlotte Amalie for a glorious view of the Caribbean. Sound a little too strenuous? Take the easy way up on the Skyride. Red Hook is the spot for al fresco restaurants, unique shops and galleries, but for a real taste of the islands sample the brews at the Frenchtown Brewing Company.

March 2020 Stay

Our experience at the Margaritaville in St Thomas was a great one. The staff did a great job in the face of the Covid 19 situation that really kicked into full gear during our stay. They answered our questions and made us feel very comfortable during the duration of our stay. The property was extremely clean and beautiful. Our family looks forward to visiting again under different circumstances.

Avoid staying here at all costs

We arrived and the entire resort smelled of sewage from the horrid seaweed issue on their beach area which made us physically sick and their systems were also down so they were not able to check us in when we arrived after traveling all day so they sent us to the restaurant which was closed down and then we got yelled at by a time share sales lady bc mask fell below my nose for a brief second while in the lobby. They made us wait to check in for over 30 mins before anyone even acknowledged us. Entire resort amenities were closed for our entire stay. No pool, no bar, no coffee shop, no beach, no restaurant, no nothing and they did nothing to accommodate for the closures. Didn’t even offer guests water for their rooms. I will absolutely never EVER stay there again. All the hotel staff were rude and no one did anything to offer refunds, etc to help accommodate all the additional costs we incurred having to leave property in cabs to eat and enjoy the beach every day. The property Mgr also responded saying they would do nothing to help us either. It was honestly the worst trip ever! I have absolutely nothing good to say other than the floor plan of our room was nice. I would steer clear of this resort. The surrounding areas around the resort are Rough too. Coki beach which is the closest beach was awful too with tons of drugs, etc.
