"The property was perfect and extremely affordable and accommodating. It is only a 5 minute walk from the train station that goes to zermatt. It is perfect if you plan on visiting zermatt and going skiing. Paul and his wife who are the hosts are extremely accommodating and some of the best hosts I’ve ever had. The place was a 10/10 stay and definitely recommend."

"My wife and I stayed in August 2025. We learned that there was recently new management. The staff we met we all very helpful and friendly. It was perfect for us looking to go hiking but with a comfortable place to rest and recoup after a long day walking. Morning breakfast was also very good. We would come back again and look forward to seeing what changes the new management makes going forward."

"This large home turned out to be perfect for our group of 11 mixed family ranging from ages 9-80. There was ample space and though we are hardly professionals, an amazing chef’s kitchen. We selected the location for its size and proximity to Zermatt. That turned out to be the only downside, as it was a bus to a train and took over an hour, more because service was interrupted due to a landslide when we there. A little warning that the hill to the chalet is super steep and was hard for the grandparents. However, the views were spectacular and we really enjoyed the quiet. We turned out to be charmed by the nearby town of Grächen and its restaurants, shops and abundant nature and hiking. Walter was a great host, communicated well and had a brief issue with hot water fixed immediately. All in all, it was a delightful stay. "

"Beautiful property, clean warm and cozy in the winter snow! We came from Florida to ski in Grachen and Zermatt and the quaint villages and ski resorts did not disappoint. Also great communication from the owner and property manager. I don’t believe the property is hard to find if you’re from the area, but being from Florida it was quite a challenge finding it when we first arrived. It would have been easier for us to know to go up the road from the Niedergrachen bus stop and take the 2nd long driveway on the left. Hublen is not the name of a street as we had thought. Also, the “hill” was more like a cliff being from a cliff"
