Unique, Homey, & Spacious City Nest

  • Stay in a unique space that will give your trip a flavor you'll really remember.

    This spacious and cozy historic home is the perfect hub to explore the whole city, walk the french brick neighborhood to bars, food and shops, or stay in and enjoy your loved ones. No cleaning fee!

    Get 2.5 bathrooms and three bedrooms (each with a dedicated a/c unit), a jacuzzi bathtub, a backyard fire pit, a large 70-inch TV, and a vintage couch.

    The space:
    This warm and inviting space will wrap your trip with positive, cozy energy! Here are some highlights:

    - 2 Stories and 2,200 square feet
    - Kitchen, living & dining room on the main floor
    - 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2 queen beds, 1 full bed & 2 baths
    - A queen air mattress that fits in the bedroom upstairs
    - Two desk workspaces with strong internet
    - Plenty of kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, gas stove, garbage disposal
    - Large dining room table
    - Massive 70' tv, Roku, & vintage couch in living room
    - Backyard patio made of vintage St. Louis brick
    - Lots of natural light and tasteful lamps for "mood" lighting in all rooms
    - Jacuzzi bathtub
    - Many books to read from our radical library
    - Eclectic art and decor
    - Well-lit street parking

    Recommendations for easy walking:
    - 2 blocks to Cherokee St. for bakery & brunch spots, bars, antiquing & apparel stores.
    - 1 block to Benton Park for urban park relaxation, tennis, & pickleball.
    Guest access
    You'll have the whole house to yourself! The door to the basement is locked and you do not have access.

    One of the hosts (Ripple) shares the backyard and enters the basement sometimes from a separate entrance. They have lots of recommendations for the area, feel free to ask them!

    Other things to note:
    We’re so excited to be sharing the Nest, we think you will feel both at home and in a special place ^_^. We're always improving the space as we grow with our guests <3.

House was clean and was comfortable to live in. The host was doing some maintenance in the basement which was not part of the house listing and is locked off from the main part of the house. The host communicated through the whole process to let us know when they were doing this work.

The Nest is a super cute place! Everything was clean, beds were comfy, host is super responsive and helpful. Beautiful inner city neighborhood close to Benton Park. I'll definitely keep this place in mind the next time I want to spend a weekend in St. Louis.

Very nice house with interesting decor and artwork. Even had a pack and play for our toddler. Location is amazing. Close to everything. Very easy check in process and very nice and responsive host. Definitely recommend!

The Nest worked perfectly for our visit to St. Louis. We needed separate sleeping accommodations for four people, which, with the air mattress, worked out great. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed – as a tea drinker, I especially appreciated the kettle in addition to the coffee maker. Benton Park is just a block away, and it was lovely to take a morning walk on a couple of the days we were there. We also walked to Cherokee Street both for coffee and Mexican food. The location was well situated for all the various places we went within the city; we seemed to be less than a 15 minute drive from everywhere in the city we needed to go (The Hill, Forest Park, Central West End, Midtown). Coming from a more dense urban area, this was fabulous. I had a handful of questions along the way, and Ripple was always extremely responsive, getting back to me very quickly each time.

Quite and friendly neighborhood

The Nest was the perfect spot for our family of four. It was centrally located near the St Louis Zoo, Aquarium, and the Arch all the places we visited while we were in St. Louis. The Nest was the perfect, quite, place to come back to after a long day of sight seeing. Our hosts were very gracious and kind. We highly recommend staying at the Nest when you visit St. Louis. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Gem in Benton Park STL

My family of five including three kids age 6 - 12 visited for a spring break trip to STL. This home was full of character, calm & comfortable, and convenient to the sights of the city. We felt at home and appreciated the parking right in front of the house.

Fun stay

The house worked out great for our group! the price was perfect and the layout of the house allowed us to enjoy ourselves. Check in and check out were a breeze. We had a fuse issue and lights weren’t working in one room and the owner took care of it immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

First impressions were that someone lives there. Was kind of creepy knowing that whoever lives in the trailer also has access to house. Basement etc. otherwise stay was good. Property needs curb appeal. Cleaned up mowed etc.

Quiet and comfy

Very nice and spacious property. Beautiful hardwood floors. Eclectic artwork. This is more of an adult home. The 3 bathrooms were nice to have. Shaded back yard with seating. Close to restaurants and activities. Overall I would stay again.

The property was very clean! It was also located in a convenient location, hence why we chose the property. The Owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. He gave clear instructions on how to check out of the house and also let me know on how to check in as well. The rooms were comfortable and homy, which my group loved so much!

Thankfully Thanksgiving

This place was perfect to host turkey dinner for my family. It was important to be under one roof for this holiday and after being cancelled at the last minute by two other properties, this host was a prayer answered. Location is great and the home is cozy and warm. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It’s much more cool in person. We had everything we needed and more. Thanks again

Pretty clean inside. Close to the arch and enterprise center and Busch stadium. Pulling up to the property was a bit scary. Outside not kept well and just across the street are spray painted signs about dead cops. Wasn’t sure what we were walking into. Lots of witchy things inside and odd art work around. Owner is on the property as well in a camper and sometimes goes into the basement but doesn’t bother you. Probably wouldn’t have stayed if I’d known that before a couple days before our trip. Not a terrible place but probably wouldn’t return.

Probably not for families

The place was fine as far as accommodations and location near the Arch. The hosts do their jobs just fine. If your party is all adults, you should have no issues. However, if you are bringing kids, you should know this probably isn't the place for you. There are pornographic pictures in virtually every room. In the room my daughters stayed in, there was a pornographic picture in their bathroom right next to the light switch involving two men. Also, the lawn was out of control, which made it seem a little less safe. In summary, for adults, this is a good place to stay. With kids, I'd probably try a different option.

Uncomfortably homey

It is homey and spacious however the homey part was a bit too homey. Too many personal items giving the vibe that you are staying in a home that’s very much lived in by the owners. Clothes stored visibly under the bed. We found two different unidentifiable pills laying about on a window ledge and on a book shelf. The upstairs bedrooms were hot and stuffy with just a window unit in the hallway and a couple of fans available. Beds are uncomfortable. The patio area didn’t feel available since the owners have parked their camper right in the middle and not in the back as in photo shown. The property has miscellaneous junk on it and the grass was very tall and overgrown on the property. No communication about check in until after I messaged my concerns the very night before I was to arrive. If you don’t mind feeling like you are living in somebody’s personal space while they stay in campers on site then this place will be alright for you. It was pretty clean with a nice kitchen besides not having enough toilet paper provided. The location is close to all the attractions and Cherokee street is near and really fun.
