Only if desperate
I am sorry to say that this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were dirty, the food was basic and the entire place was run-down and unwelcoming (within minutes of my arrival the security guard was asking for money to look after my hire car that was parked on hotel property!). ...

I didn’t go to St. Catherine. We stayed in Dahab and went to the blue hole, blue lagoon, Ras Abu gallum, three pools and traveled to Castle Zaman. All places were AMAZING.

Most of the monastery is off limits to the public, but the small chapel is reason enough to visit. It is hung with over 45 ornate silver lanterns and chandeliers, and the medieval icons are spectacular. No photos allowed inside.
