Large Victorian-fully modernized

Fully modernized 8BR, 4.5 Bath Spring Lake Victorian. 2 living rooms, dining room. Large wrap around porch. Fully renovated. All new bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, 2 zone central AC. Very private property. 4 pool ane beach badges included with all rentals. 12 person maximum occupancy. No parties on property.

* South Pavilion Locker included with all rentals.

*Dogs under 20 lbs that are hypo allergenic (poodles, kerry blues, schnauzers, wheaten terriers and a few other breeds as approved by the owner) are OK with additional deposit and additional cleaning fee. Additional deposit of $500. Extra Fee of $250 per week per approved pet.

House has Cable, Wireless HSIA and TV's; 65" in main living room.

To my many repeat guests, the following improvements have been made in the last few months. New mattresses have been added in each bedroom. The 50" TV from the living room is now on the 3rd floor combination bedroom and extra living room. A new 65" TV has been added in the living room. All of the furniture from the 2nd living room has been replaced , giving better furniture and more seating space. A second recliner has been added in the Primary living room.

* Long Term Winter rentals are in a 7BR, 3.5 bath configuration with maximum of 8 people from October to Mid May. I place outdoor furniture in 1 of the bedrooms for the winter.

Big house. Plenty of space for all. Nice functional kitchen, well appointed. Excellent and large laundry room on second floor. Porches were good spot for morning reading. Beach passes and large locker at beach. Locker loaded with beach chairs and umbrellas. Plenty of bath and beach towels. Overall, great house for large family or group. Would use again.

Great stay in Spring Lake in late July/early August 2024

We were a group of 10 ranging in ages from 11 to 81, and all had a great time during our week's stay. The owner is hospitable and extremely accessible, allowing for the trip to be that much easier and enjoyable as all questions were answered in good time. The house has an old school charm with plenty of space for eating, entertaining, hanging around watching tv, and sleeping. The spring lake south pavilion beach/pool area is wonderful. Clean, easy to access, and fun. All in all, a great trip. Highly recommended!

We loved this place, guest had a great time

Charming late 1800’s victorian, fully renovated. Great AC for such an old home. Large porch, tall 10 foot privacy hedge on all sides, Parking for 10 cars. Lots of spaces for privacy if a guest wants get some alone time. Kitchen has almost every utensil you could use for cooking. The only down side is it on the train tack. Inside the house you don’t really notice the train. Our guests had a great time and enjoyed their stay.

Exactly What We Were Looking For!

This house was exactly what we needed! Our group was down in Spring Lake for work, so having enough space for 8 adults to live and work was a tall order, but Jeff's house definitely delivered. The house was spacious enough for everyone to have their own bedroom and between the two living rooms, huge front porch, second floor wrap around balcony, and front yard picnic table (my favorite) there was plenty of space for us to work and not to feel on top of one another! Jeff was an incredible host. He was so quick to respond to all our questions -- and there were many! He did a virtual walk through with us upon arrival which was very helpful and after we left when one of my co-workers accidentally left her passport behind Jeff made sure to get it back to her ASAP. Something to note is that the NJ transit train tracks are across the street from the house. We were nervous about the noise, but we quickly got use to it and by the end of the week our whole group would get excited when we heard the sounds of an approaching train! Thank you again Jeff for everything. I hope to come back one day for vacation and take advantage of your beach passes and all the beach gear!

Spacious house with lots of character

A wonderful house that is perfect for a large gathering of family or friends! Plenty of room for dining and playing games indoors or outside on the two level porch. The parking area was large and great for bike riding for little ones. The front and side yard provided space for our family talent show. The beach is a lovely bike ride away or less than fifteen minutes on foot. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and very helpful.

Great Space, Plenty of Room and Amenities

We were very comfortable at Jeff's place. The yard and grill are great for outdoor gatherings, along with plenty of space inside. There is a loud train that goes by regularly, but aside from that small interruption, the property is great!

Charming Victorian

The house was a very large Victorian about a block from Wreck Lake in Spring Lake. A very nice section of town. The beach is walkable from the house, although biking it is probably better. The house is large enough for 2-3 family units. The kitchen and the baths have been recently remodeled. The owner/host is very gracious and helpful.

The perfect family beach getaway - tons of outdoor and indoor space for 2020 reality

We gathered at Jeff's house for a three-generation family week at the beach during the times of social distancing. He was a terrific host. The place was perfect. (The pictures do not do it justice.) The house has plenty of room both inside and out. We had adults on the second floor, each of the 4 kids had their *own* room on the third floor (with one full living room to spare up there). The renovation of this 1880s house is done lovingly to preserve the bones and to bring in the conveniences (air conditioning, bathrooms, plumbing, closets, etc.) You can feel the history of the place, and get to enjoy the modern comforts too (including everyone showering after the beach and the water not freaking out). Given that we visited in the summer of 2020, outdoor space was very important to us and the place delivered. The wraparound porch was perfect for breakfasts and coffees, the picnic table under an umbrella was the ideal spot for lunches and dinners, and the upper deck of the porch was a hideaway (or the perfect perch to see the NJ Transit trains zip by.) We had a train enthusiast in our party and his glee at hearing an approaching locomotive was contagious. The NJ transit tracks are right across the street. When you are in the house or in the yard, you can’t see the train because the hedges are thick, but you can hear it. After a few passes, we all got used to it. It added a certain charm to the whole experience. We rented bikes from Jeff that shortened our walk to the beach and made it easy to explore the quaint town of Spring Lake. It was easy to drive to beach in the morning and park very close to the entrance. We sent one car over each day to bring beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels (and to make it easier for the octogenarian in our party to have energy to do laps in the stunning salt-water pool at the beach club.) Jeff is an extremely responsive host. (I say this as someone who has traveled for decades all around the world and stayed in all sorts of places.) He stayed in a cottage on the property for part of our week there, and he was elsewhere for another part. Regardless of where he was, Jeff was very responsive to questions I had (while not being intrusive). He stocked the house with all the beach gear you’d need. If you are looking for a comfortable getaway at the beach that is not a cookie-cutter experience, I highly recommend Jeff’s place. Book it.

Great place to stay for a large family gathering

This was the perfect house to rent for a large group. The house has lots of bedrooms and gathering areas. We were only 8 as we were trying to social distance, but under normal circumstances the house could easily accommodate 16 guests. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently updated and clean which is the most important thing to me. The owner, Jeffrey Holtz, was very helpful and easily reachable with any questions we had. All in all the perfect beach getaway.

Amazing week at a Wonderful Large Home

This beautiful Victorian is a wonderful home for a large group of people that want to stay together to enjoy a wonderful time in Spring Lake. Jeff the host was an amazing communicator, provided lots of information and everything was exactly as promised. We were able to walk to the beach and restaurants (not around the corner but a nice 10-15 minutes to get to a lot of places on foot which was great). Ubers were super easy to get as well. One of the best things about the house is all of the private sleeping rooms and a lot of common area to spend time together. We hosted our boys and their friends and while there were a lot of them, it didn’t seem like it at all because it was so spacious and the rooms on the two different levels were very private. The kitchen was stocked with every supply you would need if you wanted to cook there as well. A great trip and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great visit.

Awesome vacation with extended family!

This was our first trip to Spring Lake and we stayed for 9 days. There were 9 adults, a toddler and an infant. The house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space in the kitchen as multiple people prepared meals at the stove and at the island. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware and any cookware you might need. There was plenty of seating for us to enjoy dinner together. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the beach and pool and made use of the beach chairs and umbrellas stored in Jeff’s locker. Jeff was an attentive host. He met us on arrival, showed us the house, and even helped unload the car and carry bags to the bedrooms. He provided extra beach passes that came in handy so we could all enjoy the beach together. Thank you for your hospitality, Jeff.

Amazing 4th of July Stay

This is one of the best properties for large groups on the Jersey Shore. We had a group of 15 for the 4th of July weekend and our group wanted to rebook for next year after our first day. The house is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. We have rented a lot of houses and Jeff is one of the best hosts we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He offered additional days at discounted rates, early / late check in/out, and gave us a bottle of wine on arrival. The location of this house is perfect for the beach and it the outdoor hedges offer a lot of privacy. Don’t think twice about booking this house - it is can’t miss. We look forward to returning next year!

Fantastic house for large groups

We stayed a full week in August with our kids - now 6 adults - and one grandbaby. Walk to the beach, tons of room for everyone, and the kitchen has everything you should need for any meal. Jeff is a super nice and accommodating host - strikes a wonderful balance between staying on top of what he needs to in order to keep the house in good nick while providing a very relaxed and comfortable level of freedom and privacy. One of our daughters decided to stay another week when she found that the next tenant had cancelled so she, her husband and the baby were obviously happy with the place! We would certainly go back.

Great week in Spring Lake!

MY family of 14 had a great week in Spring Lake! The house was the best. Great location, short walk to beach, big living room and excellent kitchen. Amazing stay and an even better host!

First of all, I just want to thank Jeff for our recent stay. He was very communicative leading up to our stay, and was more than accommodating when we asked to check in early and check out late. The pictures do not do this house justice. The kitchen is new and a great layout for cooking. There are multiple dining room tables, and space to lounge. The bedrooms were all spacious and the bathrooms were all nice and clean. There were plenty of towels, and Jeff had plenty of beach chairs waiting for us on the porch when we arrived. Days before we arrived, he asked if we needed more than 7 beach passes (house comes with 7), and offered to procure them for us with no issues. He checked in on us throughout the weekend to make sure we didn't need anything or have any issues. He even left us a bottle of wine upon our arrival which was very nice. Honestly couldn't have asked for an easier stay. Approx. 13 minute walk to the beach, and 2-3 miles from Manasquan and Belmar bars and nightlife. Convenient location. Wrap around porch was so nice to eat and drink outside on! Thanks Jeff!

Excellent!

VERY large space! Plenty of privacy for everyone as well as common gathering areas. Jeff was a spectacular host and very helpful! I highly recommend this house!

Wonderful summer home in Spring Lake

This charming Victorian in Spring Lake was clean, neat, and very comfortable for our large family. Everything we needed was here and the owner, Jeff was very attentive to any questions we had about the property and Spring Lake. We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful old victorian style home, newly renovated large guest rooms and living room.

Our extended family of 14 had a wonderful experience in this old Victorian style home in Spring lake. The photos online of this home do not do it justice. Large guestrooms and living spaces and a wraparound veranda made for a spacious and welcoming experience. One of the most beautiful beaches on the Jersey shore is only a short walk from the house. The owner is nearby and very responsive to any requests we had. It was a wonderful experience!
