We learned from her the Villa was originally constructed in 16 th century hunting lodge of the DeMedici family. We were given a complimentary wine tasting and tour of the Villa’s production facility. The local town of Vinci was hosting a 400 year anniversary of Leonardo de Vinci and tours of the museum. "The property was great. The rides on the tram were anything but good. Crowded, my travel companion had his cell phone stolen by a pickpocket on our first day. The second day, another thief got his waller out of a zippered pocket under his shirt, but someone on the train saw it. We were able to chase the thief and he threw the wallet on the ground.
