"We spent three nights at Chateau de Bellefontaine. This place is a hidden gem!! You have to understand older homes, in order to appreciate its character. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was amazing and the house and grounds were stunning. We had a one bedroom, on the 4th floor. The bed, in our room, was totally comfortable.... more so than any other place we stayed, in France. If you choose to stay here... ENJOY!!"

Everyone at the hotel and surrounding businesses and restaurants were very friendly and accommodating. The staff were amazing! Our room was clean and the perfect size for our family of four. "Had to do kind of an emergency booking with this hotel as another place to stay fell through. The place is very nice, extremely spacious by European standards and in a great location in the center of Bayeux. "

"Relative to other similar hotels the breakfast was limited and not of high quality, but had some good items and was sufficient. Depending on which room you get they can be roomy and pleasant, or not so pleasant. We asked for a second floor room and it was very pleasant."

"The hotel is nicely placed for highway access and walking into Bayeux. Easy to get on the road to the beaches and memorials. With the town on one side and farm on the other, very pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The restaurant is handy but with a limited menu and the items don’t change night to night. While the food was tasty we found our meals weren’t very hot so that could be improved upon. We did enjoy our stay there and would recommend it to others."

"The gite is lovely and bijouIn a fantastic setting.All you need for a great stay, Sue & Paul are great hosts.We stayed over christmas and new year. Unfortunately it was cold in The gite so we had to wrap up but it was cold outside . But think the heating needs upgrading Having said that we would like to return one day in the summer months it is in such a beautiful setting "
