As Indian passport holders, we do realize that our passports aren't the strongest for travel. We can't  pick destinations on a whim or avail last minute discounted flight deals without checking visa requirements. And moving to the United States doesn't really make a huge difference. •

Before visiting Iceland, we further realized the difference between a visa issuing consulate and a honorary consulate that doesn't issue visas. That time, we traveled all the way to New York just to get our visas stamped. •

This time around, with the Faroe Islands, the Danish embassy was kind enough to process our visas via postal mail because they had access to our biometric information from last year. (Faroe Islands are autonomous but a part of the kingdom of Denmark, so one can only apply for schengen visas to enter Faroe Islands via Denmark)

A little off-track route towards an fantastic rock in the ocean surrounded by massive cliffs and a steep island behind it.
The scenery is just stunning for photography or just be blown away its beauty (and the winds). Be carefull with the steep cliffs.

On the hike back we were followed all the time by a cute seal.
