"The cabin was as advertised. Close to Cass Railroad, Snowshoe, Sharps General Store, and Marlinton. Plenty of room for our group. Lots of games for the kiddo. We would definitely return. Host was very responsive ."

"Manager did our small group a favor & prepared a sandwich, vegetables, & pie dessert for us. We stayed in the "Nautical Room," which had an assortment of nautical decor. The library in the place was enormous, with satellite bookcases throughout. Breakfast included eggs & bacon, with a nice assortment of cold dishes."

Cabin near Snowshoe

"My spouse and I are part of a group of couples who have been renting a cabin for a long weekend getaway every summer for the past 6 years, and this spot fit the bill for having plenty of space and allowing pets since one of the couples wanted to be able to bring their dog along this time. The cabin is in a quiet and peaceful spot and is spacious while still retaining a cozy atmosphere at the same time. Since each couple takes turns cooking meals for the rest of the group, we really appreciated having access to a second full fridge in the laundry room. The basement wet bar made for a great coffee station that folks could use in the morning while staying out of the way of the cooks on duty while they made breakfast in the main floor kitchen. There were some opportunities to improve the experience, however, such as addressing a missing wheel on the kitchen island, an overflowing grease trap in the outdoor grill, a loose/broken toilet seat in one of the main floor bathrooms and a shower faucet that would not turn all the way off in the other main floor bathroom, a missing shower head in the basement bathroom, the cleanliness of the bathroom fixtures in general, expired smoke detectors, and a lack of potholders, kitchen towels and trash bags. One couple ended up buying some and leaving them in the house for future guests. Overall the stay was fine, but the little details can really make the difference between a good stay and a great one."
