"This was our second visit to the Yellow House. It is a lovely house with a fabulous pool and set in stunning Italian countryside. One is surrounded by nature here so it is very peaceful. We saw wild boars in the early mornings and at dusk - playing in the fields below the house. "

"Fransesco was an amazing host. Always available for any questions or guidance. The home was a special treat as it resembled a stately manor with incredible views. The pool area was our daily sanctuary from the heat. We also had a pizza making evening that was incredible in the beautiful courtyard. "

"We had an excellent two week stay in this beautiful house, which is accessed down a 1.5km track, and is located in the grounds of the main property but remains secluded. The view from the terrace overlooking the valley is fabulous to wake up to or to watch the sunset behind the hills in the evening and we regularly saw wild boars grazing in the field below in the early evening. On the other side of the property you can see the nearby village of Civitella d’Agliano, which is a 2 km walk and is well worth a visit. The property has been converted to a high standard, is well equipped and very comfortable. The pool area was also excellent and well maintained. We felt entirely at home during our stay and Manuella and Martin could not have been more helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit whilst not at all intruding. The area itself lies on the beautiful border of Lazio and Umbria with lots of hilltop towns and other places to visit. Orvieto is a 30 minute drive and we also had days out in Perugia and Spoletto as well as trips to closer locations like Lake Bolsena and the UNESCO listed Civita di Bagnoregio. The area itself is very rural and lacks the crowds we have encountered when staying further north into Umbria or Tuscany but a car is essential.We would thoroughly recommend La Casa Pastore at Carpinetta for those wanting a quiet escape. "

"A beautiful four floor house, recently converted into a holiday home. Renovated a few years ago, it is spacious and furnished in a classic style. The rooms are large, and the beds are comfortable. The tavern is very convenient for gathering everyone together, although the lighting could be improved. My 3-year-old daughter had a lot of fun in the heated 2x4 meter pool, even though some heating issues allowed us to use it for only a few hours. The sauna, though small, is still functional. The jacuzzi works well. Some minor adjustments are needed for the shower seals, but overall, the house is well-maintained, although the cleaning could have been more thorough. The village of Alviano, where the property is located, is charming, with essential shops just a short walk away and a beautiful castle to visit with a very knowledgeable local guide. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Alviano. The on-site staff was always ready to address any issues."
