"The room wasn’t very clean. There was a real issue with dreaded “love bugs” in the area when we were there so they naturally got into the rooms when you opened the door, obviously nothing the hotel can control. But when housekeeping came, all they did was empty the trash, made no effort to get rid of the dead bugs all over the floors. The black coffee table needed a good dusting and the grout in the showers was moldy as another review mentioned. And before the hotel disputed this again, no the grout color is grey but there is actual black mold covering the grey grout. Also, there’s nowhere in either bathroom to sit so much as a razor (we were in room 2 which is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath). While some things were nice like the little carts with umbrellas and chairs for you to use, I couldn’t get past how unclean it was. "

"Wonderful room. Our room was right outside the bar, so location of that specific room was not great. Cleaning people come very early in the morning which was not ideal. Woke up to vacuums or leaf blowers every morning around 6:30am. We did not sleep great, but we were on vacation so we slept in later than usual. Overall, its a great place. Thr room was very clean and updated and the front desk ladies were always very helpful."

"FYI, this is a motel, doors open to the outside. There is no soundproofing between rooms. There was a large group with kids next door that was playing loud music most of the evening. At 11pm we could hear a noise, possibly a door closing, every minute or two that kept us from falling asleep."

"The Cottage itself was very cute and clean. Disappointed there was no fridge on a wine cooler. Also disappointed there was only an expresso coffee machine not a regular coffee machine. Also, the clerk at the reception office did not tell us that no one is in the office until 10am. We tried to check out at 9am, the office was locked, sign next to door said the opened at 9, tried to call, the didn't answer the phone and no recording, it just rang and rang. Called the main resort number and checked out through them. Disappointing."

"Rooms are very clean and offer maid services daily. Check in was easy and room access was smooth.Simple close parking. The beach is nice and private however you do have to pay to sit on the beach which I don’t believe is mentioned on the listing. Chairs are about $40-45 per day which can be pricy on top of cost of stay. Personal chairs or towels are not allowed on their beach so you don’t have much of a choice unless you want to drive to public beach. Wish this was communicated prior to arriving to the resort. Town is great everything is within walking distance so rental car is not necessary If you plan on exploring downtown and the beach on site. Free ride services are also available from morning to late night which we utilized and loved. Just bring cash to tip drivers. We even found one who can take you to and from Sarasota Airport which we will check out for our next visit! Overall great resort and town with lots of variety and fun."
