"The Northern was the premier hotel in Billings. We had to stay a night since I had never done so. It was great they had a doorman, but he only held the door about half the time. The lobby was amazing, but our room was just a little below excellent with no view. We didn't eat there, since we had done so before, and there are a lot of good restaurants downtown."

"This place was like stepping back in time a few decades. It is an older, western themed building that remains right in the middle of downtown Billings. The parking was right outside the door to the room and was safe and secure in a parking courtyard. There is a restaurant on the premises that serves made to order breakfast and coffee starting at 6:00 am which is perfect for someone traveling. This place is a good value. Your stay at The Dude Rancher puts you smack dab in the middle of a walkable downtown filled with great restaurant choices and other retail amenities. The parking is easy and secure, the rooms although dated, are very adequate. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."
