"Ken and Cindy created a lovely get away to rest and relax. You are immersed in nature and feel free to just enjoy. The pups love to visit and it was nice to be able to bring our dog as well. They are so close to The Serpent Mound! Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. They really did think of everything!"

2/10 Terrible

"After a 12 hour drive we arrived around 11:00 at night and walked in to the staff member sleeping. Had to wake her up and then they tried to put us in a dog friendly room due to that was all they had left. We went to the room and it smelled like dog pee so we went back to front desk and she said she couldn’t change room without her boss. After a bit she called her boss and he did put us in a king suite for no extra charge. We got into the room and the bathroom was filthy. But the bed was a very comfortable bed and the rest of the room was clean. Day 2 our toilet leaked into the room below us and flooded it so we had to change rooms. Next room the bathroom was filthy again. We were not in that room for more than 10 minutes and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Called the front desk and they said they couldn’t fix it that night or the next. So we had to change rooms again. So now we are on our 4 th room. Again bathroom was filthy and the sheets had stains on them. At that point I was done and just decided to clean the bathroom myself and to just sleep in the stained sheets. The stair ways had food and trash in them and it looked like they hadn’t vacuumed them in months. The doors had food spilt all over them. The lobby is clean and they had some nice staff members working up front. For the price we paid I would suggest driving the extra 30 minutes away to stay at a nicer hotel."

"The staff came in and changed the towels out when we were not there. When they were in the room they turned off the AC and all the lights we had left for the day and did not get back till late at night. Other than that the room was nice and it was easy to check in and out."

"The view at this stay is incredible! The space is clean and comfortable, while still offering that “get away” in the woods feeling. My friends and I came to see Serpent Mound and hike other trails close by. I would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!"

"This property is old and needs improvements. The first room I was in had plumbing issues with. O hot water and a back up in the toilet. When I first got into the room, there was feces waste in the toilet. The staff moved me to a different room and said they had been having problems with the plumbing in that room. The second room was better, but the shower hand rail was not attached in the tub. The holes where it was attached were mostly covered with some kind of tape but there was also rust. The staff were very friendly. However one of the staff was feeding a baby in a high chair in the middle of the lobby. Maybe the staff live there? Overall the property was only 5 minutes from Hospice of Hope, which is where I was visiting my mom. The location was convenient to that, but local amenities were scarce. 25 minutes to a grocery store and 35 minutes to Hillsboro where there are a few more restaurants."
