"Our stay at The Donard was excellent!! The staff were great and Kevin went out of his way to make us feel welcome and informed about everything in the hotel. Our room was perfect. Lots of space well supplied and a very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend The Donard! Great location and an excellent breakfast each morning."

"All the previous comments about John are totally valid. He is great host and cooks a wonderful breakfast. Paraphrasing his own words, if you want a Premier Inn this is not the place for you, however if you want to stay in a well preserved, classically decorated and interesting building stay here."

"A fabulous B&B with friendly staff, a comfortable room and a spectacular view of the Mournes. The continental breakfast was far more than we expected and set us up for a day of hiking perfectly. Ideally located for Newcastle and the Mournes we’ll be back again. We had accidentally booked one night instead of two as well, but the team managed to accommodate us for the extra night."
La Mon Hotel And Country Club

"Had a fantastic stay at La Mon Hotel. The only negative was the lack of clarity on breakfast times. The time we were told for breakfast differed from the time we were told on booking in. We were lucky to get breakfast as we were just in time, but we saw others being turned away. Otherwise staff were fantastic, service excellent, clean and comfortable!"
