North Uist is made up of hundreds of freshwater lochans so is the perfect landscape or waterscape for the European Otter. They spend time in the sea like this one I saw in Griminish but need proximity to fresh water too as it is better for their coats. Felt so privileged to see one in the wild! 💓

As Previously Decribed located on North Uist, Clachan Sands are very remote with nofacilities but no one is there, Peace and quiet is the premium experience.
