"It was very close to the City Center and also to a bus stop. We had no car so this came in handy. They were awesome about calling us taxi’s and giving directions and recommendations for places to eat and recommending a cooking class. Breakfast was nice. The only thing they did not have were wash cloths. We use them in the States. I didn’t ask nor did I see any in a cart so I thought possibly just the culture in Italy. We did have them at our hotel in Rome. I should have ask so that is on me! ...

"Parking is tricky, but we found a free parking lot close by. Check-in was easy and Livia was a gem full of helpful tips and resources. Check out - the front desk guy wasn’t very helpful. We paid the city tax in cash and wanted our change in coins - just a few coins to use in town- very much needed in Italy and he wasn’t willing to provide coins or even break a ten. He offered no assistance. Overall the room, spa and property is nice. No restaurant during off season, but the breakfast provided...

"Hotel is right in the center of Gimignano. The staff were nice and able to check in early at 12:30pm. The room is large, clean, and quiet. The shower flow is very good but the tub is leaking a lot. Nearest parking lot is 600 meters away in P2 - parking lot is open and cost 15 euros per day. No in and out privilege. I would love to come back and stay here again."

"Decent basic accommodation Thin bed Nothing special to report, similar to a dorm room. I think it used to be a convent until they didn’t need as many rooms Run by nuns Like everywhere in Italy no screens on windows and there was always one mosquito in the room regardless of how many I killed. "The building doesn’t look like it has had any money spent on it since the 1980’s.Very shabby hotel, shame on the owners, it could be fab. Had holes in sheets and towels. No duvet it’s a 1950’s style blanket between sheets. Not hygienic these days. Dirt and dust everywhere. Cushions with stains on. One pillow each. Dining chairs in the breakfast room all broken. "The room was impeccably clean, to quote my wife, who owns her own cleaning company and is incredibly fussy. So very high praise indeed. The hotel is very well located within 10 to 20 minutes walk of most major sites in Florence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good supplying everything except eggs and reasonably priced at €8.00. We have vowed to return to Florence one day and that includes this delightful hotel. "
