"First walking in we noticed a stack of mattresses about 10 ft High in the parking lot. walking in you couldn't help but notice the rugs were dirty, they had stains everywhere. The room was bare nothing pretty or inviting about it! The TV sucked. The reception was terrible and you could only watch one or two channels. The faucet in the bathtub ran even when you turned on the shower so the shower was weak. The hot and cold handle was backwards! And it took me forever to figure out how to get the water hot. The next morning we went to take advantage of their continental breakfast and there was no protein, just Bagels toast and Dry Cereal and something that barely passed for coffee not to mention being greeted by another stack of mattresses in the dining area !!!. I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly but the first day I left my dog in the room to go out I received a call that he was barking and disturbing the other guests however they were working in the hotel, renovating I imagine, making plenty of their own noise."

"Unforgiving management. Refusing to accept cancellation due to inclement weather that cancelled local event. A midnight cancellation policy failed as people are usually asleep and uRoom never checked in. "

"We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the amenities were great. The breakfast was also good, with a lot of hot and cold breakfast options. We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked very nice, and the putting green and patio with grills are a cool touch. We booked a 2 bedroom suite for our family and it was great. Our teens were able to have their own beds, my husband and I had a separate bedroom with a king bed, and both rooms had their own bathroom. The bathroom off the room with double beds was very large. The kitchen and living area were convenient. The rooms were very clean. The wall paper in certain areas could use some tlc, and the lights outside of our windows were very bright at night, but the curtains did a good job of blocking it out. Bring an adapter for your tablet or computer if you want to watch anything good on TV, because they are not smart tvs and only have basic cable and HBO, and no guide to tell you what is on. Overall, we were very happy with our stay! It is an easy drive to Stony Brook U, so I'm sure we will be staying here again over the next 4 years when we come visit our daughter. "

"The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the layout of their own overall & the bathroom. Staff were attentive & friendly. The floors in the room creek with every step both in the room and in the room above the room. You could easily hear people walking back-and-forth. The walls are rather thin, and I heard a lot of intimate moments, showers, toilet, flush, children, running back-and-forth. It was very hard to relax. After all of that, there was a charge for breakfast. The property is OK but I would suggest staying next-door at the residence. "

"Did not have hot water in shower for 2 days. Front staff was advised and said an engineer would be sent to the room. Nothing was fixed on the first night."

"I informed staff my room had ants for 2 days and there was someone else’s dirty towels in the corner( which were not picked up by day 3) The elevator was on its last leg. The coffee and water in the lobby was nice-nice seeing security there at night"
