"This is a very nice hotel right in the heart of the Sassi. My only comment would be on the lack of friendliness of some of the reception staff. I will say though that they were accommodating in allowing us early entry into our room, which was appreciated."

"We absolutely loved our stay of 4 nights at Thymus! Incredibly clean and so cool to stay inside a cave. Breakfast outside while looking at the hills of matera will never be forgotten. Well worth every penny!"

"The property was very quirky and in keeping with the essence of Matera. Would highly recommend if you want to get a feel for the sassi, as it becomes a different place altogether once the day crowds have gone."
