"We have recently returned from an 8 night stay in a Marina del Rey apartment. We were very happy with the accommodation. It was clean and functional. Fully air conditioned and the shower was excellent. The sofa bed was not so comfortable as it was two separate beds that opened out and they were small and uncomfortable unfortunately. The kitchen utensils were barely enough. Just 1 knife which was a bread knife, 1 pan etc.. But we survived. We had an outdoor front garden terrace which was nice and a partial sea view. I was thinking we’d be next to the pool but we were further away from it. It didn’t matter but I think the website photos can be a little deceiving. The area itself was huge but really lovely. We were impressed at how organised the place was and how clean! Everyday the main streets bins were emptied. The train that goes around the resort was handy if you don’t like to walk the hilly areas. The swimming pools were excellent. The restaurant food and drinks rather expensive though! Easy access to the beach and a 40 min walk into Fuengirola. Or 20 mins to Miramar shopping centre which I recommend. All in all a super place to have a holiday and we do not understand why people need to be negative. We did some research before we went and was aware of how hilly the resort is. A car is definitely recommended but we didn’t hire one and still managed. Thank you to all the lovely staff, cleaners, and the porters who took our luggage to and from the apartment. Gracias!"

"Overall the villa was lovely, with stunning views, very quiet and felt like a really secure location. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The villa was very comfortable and clean, the onsite washing machine was so handy for the daily washing of swim wear and towels. The downstairs studio was especially good as it offered my son, his partner and their 6 year old daughter their own space while still connected to the rest of the family. The pool was amazing, used all day and every day by the whole family. All correspondence with host was great. Thank you Villa Lili for a fabulous holiday "

"The room was always kept really clean and we were even given a free upgrade and the views were phenomenal! Breakfast had a very large variety including a big shelving unit with gluten free items in. There were hot and cold things and all were yummy! There were other facilities that we didn’t use such as the spa. We are bodybuilders and the gym was okay but lacked a few bits of equipment. We briefly saw the entertainment and it seemed to a very good standard! The staff were always very polite and helpful."

"10/10! The best Hotel experience for me and my family. We stayed for a week and did not have any issues. Staff we really nice and helpful. I selected half board and their breakfast and dinner was amazing. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Not to mention the surrounding areas have excellent halal food places. Location was brilliant with amenities close by. The Beach opposite was great. Definitely recommend and worth the money. Our family enjoyed the stay and will come back again one day."

"Great location! Car not needed and all the amenities that La Cala offer easily walkable. Accommodation was great for our needs and Colm was a brilliant communicator and was able to facilitate a later check out which was so helpful. Pool on site was great and work going on to get the bar and restaurant up and running properly with Christopher having some great ideas!"

"Our stay at Calle Mimosa was amazing! John was very friendly, communicative, and always happy to answer any questions I had about the villa.The villa was very well equipped, especially the kitchen, which had absolutely everything we could possibly need. The garden and pool were clean and well maintained, but what I loved most was how private the whole villa was, which made our stay feel so relaxing and peaceful.We would definitely stay here again! "

"The villa is lovely and clean. Good Comms with owner and on hand to assist with any issues or questions. Great views from the veranda. All bedrooms have enough suite which is very nice feature. There is no fans or A/C in the main living area and kitchen, so if it's very hot, these areas can become uncomfortable. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are nice. The villa is a short drive from the airport and I'd recommend picking up some basic supplies on the way to the villa.To go anywhere such as shops, bars, restaurants you need to drive or use taxis. The area is nice and give a great view from the villa. We had a great family holiday and enjoyed the villa."

"Honest review, 3 star hotel not an 4. the staff was good, they did their job. Front desk was a 3/5, cleaning staff 3/5 and the dining room staff was great 5/5. When we did ask for our room to be cleaned they only swept the floor and remade the beds and changed towels, or tub remained dirty the whole time. They also took away the 2nd blanket and never replaced, we had 3 beds, never got the 3rd blanket. The beds were terribly uncomfortable, had to buy a memory foam from jysk just to survive. The carpets in the hallway were very stained, and the hallway walls were very stained and splattered, need to be repainted. There is NO parking on site, they should just say that. We stayed for 2 weeks, tried every day for a parking spot but it was a first come first serve thing, never once saw the ‘parking full’ sign taken down. No way to put your name on a list or even bid on parking. You have to go park somewhere FAR away from the hotel. They should be transparent about this. The rooftop area they advertise on pictures is actually a pay-to-enter bar and not included in all-inclusive. Limited drinks for all inclusive as well. View from balcony was spectacular, pool and pool side lounging was good. The beach loungers you see are not covered by the hotel and cost 7-15 euro to rent. Buffet food was good, and there was a large selection, though after 2 weeks it becomes the same menu (not their fault). This is a great central location for excursions and great access to the beach."
