Cute As A Button, Plenty Of Space And Very Easy Walk To Beach

Lovely, one bedroom with new queen size mattress. Has large living room with a full kitchen completely equipped. Very attractive and comfortable.

Suitable for two and perhaps two children( has pullout couch). Short walk to the beach , 150 yards. This property is strictly an animal-free zone due to severe allergies.

Access to bikes, grill , beach equipment. The carriage house sits behind main house which was built in 1938 the carriage house is a separate building with private entrance, yard area and parking. This is truly 'Old Floridian ' style with all the modern amenities. Perfect for a retreat for one or romantic week for two. Two smaller children would be acceptable.

The cottage in front of the carriage house is also available to rent.

BOOKING POLICY:
• 50% is due at the time of booking.
• Balance of payment is due 30 days prior to arrival date.
• Deposits are fully refundable if cancellations are given 60 days prior to date of stay.
• We accept personal credit cards, e-checks, paypal, venmo
• Check-In begins at 4:00PM CST.
• Check-Out is by 11:00AM CST.

My wife and I spent a week at this beautiful beach house and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The home was spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We woke up to ocean views every morning and ended each day with sunset walks just steps from the front door. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to great restaurants and local spots. Our host was thoughtful and responsive, making us feel truly welcome. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Beach Bliss

Property was perfect for our family of 3. Didn't have to get back in the car once we got to the home. Walked to the beach and dinner. The neighborhood charm was one of a kind, we didn't want to leave! Definitely will be back.

Walk to Beach

I have stayed in many VRBO rentals but I have never not received information on getting into the booked place. It happened this time. We sat in the driveway trying to get a hold of the host through VRBO and all you could do was type a message. So we sat some more. We finally found him on People Finder, called, and were lucky he answered. I did text him later with a few issues and he did respond by text. The place could use some TLC- broken blind at the door and light bulbs replaced. Two of the chairs in the dining area and the rug need replaced. The bathroom could use some new non-white towels because white is too hard to keep clean in a beach house. Not sure why the toilet makes weird noises plus squeaky noises when it flushes, but it does. There was no air conditioning filter in the air conditioner. Please get more teaspoons in the kitchen – there were only four. Personally, I would get rid of anything in the house that doesn’t have a beach theme. Less often more. It would’ve been nice to sit outside sometimes, but the backyard does not lend itself to sitting due to the furniture condition. You can walk to the beach and several restaurants from the rental. The Red Bar has excellent food and the Black Bear Bread Company has delicious bread!

Love Grayton Beach

We had a nice vacation and the owner was prompt and detailed on getting responses to all questions and issues. We had a nice stay and would look at staying here again.

Great spot!

This was a great spot for our quick trip to Grayton. Comfy, cool, close to everything. What a great option in the sea of overpriced luxury homes that are available in Grayton these days. Thank you for a great stay!

Great stay in Grayton Beach

My daughter and I had a great Mother/daughter trip over New Years. This was a great location. While it was on the main road, it was quiet as it was behind the main house. We loved the use of bikes and beach chairs. While the bikes are old and most needed air in the tires, we were able to find 2 and enjoyed riding every day. Very clean and nice house. I would recommend staying here.

Better than it started

Upon arriving, there was a family in the main house. I thought it might be the owner, but it was another guest. They were unaware of additional arrivals and were questioning how we ended up with the place and if we knew the owner. Reading between the lines, they must know the owner. He told me they had switched the coffee maker with the Keurig in our space and wouldn’t be trading back while they were staying. I’m still not sure why he told me that. I didn’t receive the passcode for the lock prior to arriving, even though we arrived well after check-in. And there was dirty underwear on the washing machine. Despite all this, we committed to make the most of this adventure since we were exploring a different part of 30A this year. Everything was a new experience. We’re used to staying on the beach, so the walk to this beach would take some getting used to. After a couple of days, the walk wasn’t so bad. But I brought less stuff to the beach each day. In addition to the above, there are some minor things that are/were easily resolved. - Broken springs on hide away bed (told owner who would have it repaired the following week) - Torn sheets for hide away bed (replaced same day) - Balcony door didn’t lock (funky mechanism, but after discussing with owner it was easier) - Freezer door doesn’t always close fully - Several beach chairs and toys should be thrown out due to rust and generally broken - Internet was out (no tv, Internet, streaming) - Kitchen isn’t well appointed and there is no dishwasher - Washer and dryer are shared with main house tenants - Coffee maker doesn’t work - 3 bikes don’t work (fused chain, broken rear wheel, flat tire) must also me shared with tenants in main house Even with everything listed, I am still rating this as an overall 4 out of 5. The items listed show that the unit is being used and enjoyed. Maintenance of additions could be better, but one shouldn’t rent a place in the hopes they get bikes and beach toys. The owner was very quick with responses and resolution for things we informed him about; and the others weren’t a big enough deal to pester him during the stay. I would consider staying here again if I didn’t have to haul everything to and from the beach each day.

Just what we needed!

Rich’s place is located in a perfect location in the wonderful beach village of Grayton Beach. This unit has everything you need about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach area. Check in was flawless. Unit was clean and the bed was comfortable. we will definitely be returning!

Lovely and clean property within walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. The owner is easy to get in touch with and quickly addresses any issues that may arise. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy loft space

Overall a good rental in a great location. Nice to have garage and multitude of beach toys and accessories (sand toys, wagon, chairs, umbrella, etc) Right off main street but tucked away for quiet nights. Only thing that was missing was an outdoor space. There are chairs and end table but if another group stays in front house their cars can kind of block it. If outdoor patio or sitting area is not overly important - def would recommend this house.
