In the heart of historical downtown Santa Cruz, our spacious family friendly home is only a few minute stroll to the beach, the Boardwalk, and many restaurants, bars, and cafes! It's the perfect destination for an escape to paradise -- come see for yourself!
The space
The house has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has a twin bed. There is no dishwasher. There is an assortment of basic kitchen needs, black and herbal tea, brita filter, coffee, and a Cuisine Art coffee maker.
This house is in a residential neighborhood. There are students of all ages and families as our neighbors. You are welcome to have a gathering of the guests included when you make the reservation, but loud parties are not acceptable. If we get complaints from the neighbors, you are putting our ability to be hosts
You are on vacation. I do NOT expect you to do the laundry, make the beds, or do any other major cleaning. We pay our housekeeping team a living wage so they can take care of that for you.
Guest access
You have access to the downstairs portion of the house and backyard only. The upstairs and downstairs are completely separate and private from each other, as our house was originally a duplex. There is a slight possibility that the upstairs portion of the house may be occupied.
I have a driveway which can fit two vehicles. I also provide one parking permit which you may borrow during your stay, for parking on our street only. This is very important to me and must be returned upon check out as we rely on it for our guests and cannot be replaced. If you leave with my parking permit, there will be a $100 charge.
PLEASE NOTE: Our neighborhood is family oriented- this is NOT a party house! Please be respectful of those that may be staying above you/our neighbors and be quiet after 10PM. If you plan to have a celebration, please consider renting our entire house. See below for details.

You will have use of the driveway which can fit two small cars comfortably. We also provide one permit for parking on the street. This must be returned upon check out.
The house is a duplex and is separated into two different units, an upstairs and a downstairs. They are completely private from each other, with two separate entrances on either side of the house, and a door that connects to the farthest bedroom that connects the two units that will remain locked at all times. It is possible that I will be staying in the upstairs unit while you are staying downstairs. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I am happy to address any concerns that you may have.
The house is equipped with basic spices, oils, salt/pepper, etc. in the kitchen. We have lots of extra towels, blankets and pillows.
I have a barbecue which is available. Please inquire if you are interested in using it so I can make sure the propane tank is full.
