The first room we were given had a sticky desk and a discolored toilet bowl - which according to staff was due to a cleaner that was used. "We made a trip this way to visit Cedar Point. This was a very clean family friendly hotel. We stayed three nights with two adults and three kids (15,13,11). Kids enjoyed the breakfast and large spacious rooms. The beds were comfortable and it was a great experience overall. We are returning at the end of the month to visit Cedar Point again and currently finalizing the dates and thinking of booking this hotel again as we had a great stay !"

"It is a business place with a pretty great atmosphere! I loved the hot breakfast options. The pool was heated and indoors. I think they use salt water instead of chlorine and I enjoyed that. I stayed in a king suite with my friend the night before going to Cedar Point. It's a great location for that. We were fully rested after making the trek from Illinois. My room was quiet. "Our room looked decent until I went into the bathroom lifted the seat and saw a CLOGGED TOILET. Someone took a dump before us and the HOTEL DIDN’T CLEAN OUR ROOM. I just instantly felt disgusting. If they didn’t clean the toilet, they probably didn’t clean the sink, our bed, the floors. I went to the front desk about it and they didn’t have any other rooms for us to stay. "The staff were great and accomodating. We had ebikes and they even found us a place to store them during the night. The housekeeping could have been better with getting clean towels to us and empying trash since we stayed 3 night. Hallways were not kept up. Overall very good though and comfortable stay and would stay again."

"Each time we choose to visit the lake and occasionally due to unpredictable circumstances; this hotel is the only option to stay ! It’s always clean , proximity to the beach area , stores and restaurants. The hotel staff is always accommodating. The location is our favorite , especially being close to the freeway, for any emergency exits .The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean and the lake view is amazing! "Typical Holiday Express. Room was good nothing special. Breakfast was good and included. Again nothing special but if you’ve stayed at an Express you know what to expect. It’s not a Bob Evan’s or Denny’s but a decent selection of food and beverages. We asked the cleaning staff to make up the room and left $20 on the bed for their tip. "Pool filter didn't work. The pool was gross! Filled with bugs, debris and swirling sunscreen and dead skin cells. This was addressed with the manager and she said she couldn't do anything but tell the aquatics department. The "Aquatics" department was a joke. It was a girl who didn't care about her job and was in no hurry to do anything productive. The way they addressed my concerns were walking around the pool with a net. I own a pool so I know how to run a filter pump system and the system...

"Beautiful place along Lake Erie. Love that it's in the water. Fun bar next door. Lots of places to walk or benches/swings to sit and enjoy the views. The sunset in the swimming cove was lovely. Nickel Beach down the road was nice ($7 parking) and cleaner than the beach by the hotel. Plenty of places to eat in Sandusky which is 11 minutes away. Typical breakfast, clean room and extremely comfy beds. Worth the stop!"
