"A unique, and uniquely warm motel that is really not comparable to any other properties. The couple that owns the motel are the main highlight: you will struggle to find more gracious, hospitable, friendly and helpful hosts anywhere in Newfoundland. The facilities are lovely and very distinct. The meals we had were excellent, including their very special (and very abundant) Jiggs Dinner which they offer every Sunday starting around noon, in the motel's main dining facility. Everyone is relaxed and friendly, including the other guests, many of whom I gather are return visitors who are on a first name basis with the owners. We look forward to returning soon! Blessings to the owners and staff."

"Great place to stay if you’re heading out on the Baccalieu trail, the Irish Loop, or need a place on the way to Bonavista or Twillingate. It’s cheaper and easier than St. John’s, unless you plan to just see the city. Only 45 min. easy drive from the airport. Quiet rooms and lots of stores and gas stations. Mad Rocks Cafe is just 5 minutes away! Go there for breakfast. Nice wood floors in the rooms, very clean, lots of free parking. Accommodated our late night arrival. Thanks for the stay!"

"We greatly enjoyed our stay in this very beautiful home. The upstairs 'living' area was fantastic with expansive windows offering great views of the water.. we even saw a whale.
