"Because the hotel is located inside the old city walls and in the old town with very narrow streets, access to it is challenging with a car. However, because I had reserved a (paid) garage parking (15 euro and well worth it for us), I could come inside the walls to drop luggage and then proceed to the garage. The very nice young woman who was in charge came (on foot) to our location outside the walls to show us how to come to the hotel and to get inside the barrier. She then went with me to the garage to park for the night. If you have little or no luggage, parking in the parking outside the walls would be fine. It’s not a bad walk from there to the hotel, but if you have concerns about luggage left in the car, definitely the garage is better and very secure. Otherwise we loved the hotel and the room was very pretty and typical. We had dinner at the VERY nearby le Gavroche where we had the extremely good and local “raclette”—melted cheese with potatoes, salad, bread and cured meats. Plus the ice cream dessert that was as good as any I’ve ever had, and I’m an ice cream lover (although the pistacchio was not wonderful). Great stay, great price, wonderful location and experience. We didn’t have breakfast."

"Good location, near to gondola and ski rental shops. The bad thing is the fridge or ventilation system in room keeps making some noises on and off, quite annoying when sleeping."

"Het huis ligt op slechts 100 meter lopen van de cabine, heeft veel ruimte en genoeg slaap plaatsen. Het is een aanrader.De stoelen in de woonkamer zijn aan vervanging toe (we hoorden dat dit in 2026 gedaan wordt) en 1 bed boven kraakt erg.Brood halen kan in het iets hoger gelegen dorp in een klein winkeltje, je moet wel de dag ervoor bestellen. Dat is iedere ochtend een stevige wandeling van 10 min heen en 10 terug. Een grotere winkel is in het volgende dorp.Parkeren kan 300 meter voorbij het huis gratis langs de weg, hier zijn een stuk of 20 plekken en voor ons was hier iedere dag plek. Net voorbij het huis zijn ook 6 plaatsen, maar die waren bij ons al bezet. Parkeren kan ook bij de cabine, maar dat kost 8,5 euro per dag. (tarief 25/26)Het ski hok is ook erg groot met voldoende ruimte.Enige nadeel van Orelle is dat als het hard waait de verbindings liften naar Val Thorens dicht zijn en je dan maar 1 stoeltjeslift hebt met 2 afdalingen. Dat was de week voordat wij er waren 1,5 dag en de week toen we weer weg waren ook 2 dagen. Wij hebben geluk gehad met 7 dagen zon en alles was open."
