"The pools fed by the waterfall made Hotel Mercedes stand out from anywhere else. Be aware that bad weather can effect the use. There was torrential rains while we were there, the pools had to be emptied and cleaned, but the couple days being able to use it were worth it.
There is some snorkeling under and beside the dock. Visibility is poor. Don't make snorkeling the reason you come.
Staff was very pleasant , especially the front desk.

"I am surprised this place is only 1 star, I would say it's a 3 star really. Being really picky but the telly in the room could of been bigger. I guess what should be included is a mosquito net, the mosquitoes on this island are savage. I had bites on bites. I was bathing in mosquito repellent and still was getting bitten."

"O local é lindo, em meio a natureza, de frente pro mar. O pessoal do hotel é super simpático, como levamos nossos cachorros e fizeram um pouco de barulho, ganhamos um upgrade da suite para uma casa que era um charme. O café da manhã também estava muito gostoso. Ainda houve uma festa junina no hotel com música e tudo. A estadia foi maravilhosa. Hotel nota 10. Amamos ficar e com certeza voltaremos!!!"
