The staff was so great, very attentive. The hotel was situated in a very good location. The Spanish Steps, shopping and dining was so convenient. The only negative thing I can say is my husband and I enjoy watching TV and the English speaking channel selection was very limited. Overall great stay, we loved the bar upstairs, it was very charming. The breakfast was good, service even better. Recommend.
The staff goes above and beyond expectations to make sure guests are comfortable and needs met. I will say that the door to the hotel seems a bit “hidden” with only a brass plaque with an inscribed name on it. Very easy to miss unless you are looking in the right spot. Lots of stairs but there is an elevator available. Would not be friendly to those w disabilities. Wonderful breakfast with seating indoors or on the terrace. Street noise loud at times but I think that goes with the tourist area of Rome.
Do note that several of the rooms are NOT in the main building but rather a 5 minute walk away in the "annex". The rooms in the annex were fine but very small and dark. Moreover, the annex is unattended by a human being. There are cameras and phones but no human keeping an eye on the front door.
The location is ideal, great shopping, safe location and easy walking distance to the Coliseum, Spanish Steps and other artifacts of interest. Very strange that there is not a normal reception desk? The staff is very accommodating, however it's not what I have experienced with other 4 to 5 star Hotels.
The hotel is not actually at the hotel. But in an apartment building, 5-minute walk away from the hotel. The shower leaked across the bathroom floor, when the bathroom is barely big enough to stand in, in the first place. The two arm chairs in the living room were both broken and sunk when we sat down. There was a washing machine, but hidden behind curtains, so you would not know it was even there. For an apartment, there were no tea and coffee making facilities. The adjacent apartments, clearly there is no soft closing, so if you were looking for a quiet night and a decent night's sleep, the doors slam shut constantly! There is no lift to your apartment either but some very old and very worn steps, so make sure you hold onto the banister to not lose your balance!
This was our second time staying at The Inn. The location is perfect for being in Rome. The rooms are beautiful, clean spacious, comfortable and everything else you could ask for when away from home. Friendly staff wanting to help you enjoy your stay and the city.
The disappointment with our recent stay at Inn at the Spanish steps was beyond belief on the final leg of our honeymoon. We chose your property in Rome after over a year of planning and saving, specifically to end our trip on a memorable, luxurious note. Unfortunately, our experience at your hotel was anything but that—what was meant to be a special end to a joyful time became a deeply frustrating and upsetting ordeal.
We made the conscious decision to splurge on your rooftop suite, trusting your brand’s promise of exceptional service and comfort. That trust was repeatedly broken:
1.Airport Transfer Miscommunication: We had arranged for a ride from the airport, only to be told upon calling that 24 hours’ notice was required. This crucial detail was never included in your email correspondence or booking confirmation.
2.Unexpected and Unjustified Guest Charges: A friend visiting Rome unexpectedly stayed with us one night on the pullout couch included in our suite. I had called your hotel months earlier and was assured this would be no issue. Instead, we were charged an additional €200 per night without clear explanation or warning.
3.Rude and Disrespectful Behavior: When we attempted to resolve these issues at the front desk, your staff not only failed to assist us, but responded with smirks and I was even insulted in Italian—called a “stupid American blonde”—while attempting to resolve the billing issue. This is not only unacceptable but discriminatory and not ok.
On arrival we were told we wouldn’t be staying in the main hotel but in a room in another building. The staff took us to a room that had no resemblance to the room we had booked, it was in a poor condition with no natural light, the shutters would not open. I told the member of staff that this was not the room we had book and she told us that the photos of the rooms are stock photos and not necessarily the room you get.
We paid £500 per night and it was awful. Eventually we were moved to another room in the main hotel, but again poor in decor and very tired.
The next morning we paid another £300 to be upgraded to a more suitable room. Total cost was £600 per night.
I would never stay here again and would not use Expedia
Skønt hotel få hundrede meter fra den spanske trappe. De fleste af værelserne er i separate bygninger i området. Super charmerende og dejlig beliggenhed, stor anbefaling ✨

The presidential suite was spectacular with the most prefect location and view of the Spanish steps. The staff was friendly and responsive. The beds were comfortable. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
