Historic property that is well maintained. The roof bar is lovely and looking right at Santa Maria Maggiore which is lovely. You can literally watch the bells ringing! Great location and nice staff. We’ve stayed three times since 2004 and love the place. Consistently good for all these years.

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and we loved it! The view was amazing, walkable to so many attractions, and the rooftop bar was the perfect touch. The staff were super nice and helpful. We even had an issue with the plumbing in the room and they immediately fixed it for us. The rooms and halls were clean. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was small, but very adequate. The location was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choices of hearty or sweet foods. We would definitely stay again on another visit to Rome!

Great location and small but comfortable room. Be warned - the beautiful top floor balcony is a hookah bar. We went up to enjoy the sunset and have a drink at one of the limited number of tables. Unfortunately, the person at the table next to us was an obnoxious, self-obsessed individual talking loudly on face-time while sucking loudly and continuously on a gurgling three foot hookah suppled by the hotel. In addition to the noise, we were subject to great wafts of sweet smelling smoke.

The location is what I like best. Close to transit, a supermarket opposite the street, and several restaurants just a few steps away, including a decent Chinese restaurant that charges 10€ for a meat dish. It's also walking distance to several nice churches and the Colosseum. The details of the hotel are nice but kind of old. The rooftop terrace is nice, with a great view of the church opposite the hotel. We had dinner there at the rooftop restaurant. The food was only ok but the sunset view was very nice.

The hotel is beautiful and is in an amazing location. And the rooftop bar is especially nice. And the hotel staff was just incredible. Our airline lost our luggage and we had difficulty tracking down our bags for several days. We were on a multi-city vacation and the staff at Mecenate Palace Hotel assisted in communicating with and tracking our luggage. We truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and assistance.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, quiet near the colosseum, room was comfortable and clean with large bathroom and breakfast was great on the roof terrace with great views. Only negative was the over priced drinks for the evening in the hotel bars even with the great views so tended to go elsewhere.
