"The hotel was nice looking and had good historical value. It’s in a good location. The cleanliness of the room was average to above average. The beds were not good. Solid hard foam mattress. Very uncomfortable. The staff was there to do a job but really did not succeed. Not too friendly. Seemed to be a younger / inexperienced staff. Upon check in really no information was given. Had to ask for the complimentary bottles of water. Breakfast was ok and was served between 7am and 9am and not complementary. The thermostat in the room wasn’t operating. The hotel regulated the temperature. Pretty warm. Front desk suggested to just open the window. I would rate our overall experience a 3."

"Parking was $30 a day weather you use the Valet service or not to park at the hotel. Covered and secure so not that bad, Staff was ok except for one of the desk workers that told partner to go smoke by the dispensary because it was monitored. He took offense to saying the homeless were aggressive when begging for smokes. Hotel had no baggage carts but they valet allowed us to use even though we did not use their service. Breakfast was good most days the potatoes were always cold but the eggs hot. Clean enough lost hot water the last night there, good location to walk the Salem area. Good food located close, heavy homeless population, Fire department close and busy hope you like sirens. Overall good location ok food would go back. Also the A/C sounded like a UFO taking off when it came on, noisy as hell."

"This is the absolute perfect B&B. It was charming, beautifully decorated, full of amenities, and walkable to all the central sites. The owners were super hospitable and referred us to the perfect dinner restaurant. When they learned my husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary, they welcomed us with beautiful red roses and chocolates. Also, the bedding was luxurious and the bath was high end. I would definitely recommend Allison Choate to anyone wanting to stay in Rockport. "

"This property was so lovely and quaint! We are so glad we chose it over a chain hotel! Easy check in/ check out and enjoyable sitting spaces inside the cozy parlor and outside on porch or overlooking part of the downtown! We’d definitely come back- absolutely loved beautiful Rockport!"
