Rocester Corn Mill There has been a corn mill on the Churnet at Rocester for centuries. This mill was originally powered by an undershot wheel, on the right-hand side where the sluices now are. The wheel has now been replaced by a 58kW turbine for generating electricity and the building is now the offices of JCB Finance.

"This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District."
