"We were there 2 weeks from March 23 to April 6, with breakfast included. it was our 3rd visit to the hotel over a 10 year period.
Renovated rooms and pool looked great!
Bathroom fixtures could have used an upgrade but other than that, everything was awesome!
Room was super clean and done before 11 everyday. Great beds, great pillows and awesome linens.
We found breakfast to be good and never felt like using the omelette station as the options on the buffet were varied and excellent! Lots of fresh and perfectly ripe fruits, scrambled eggs, sides, toast, yogurt pancakes, french toast and more. We walked away full and content everyday.
Staff highlight was Michelle! She was awesome at breakfast and the beach bar, always aware of new people, checking on whether they needed anything and asking if food, coffee and service was ok. We always make sure to sit where she could see us to have her as a server. We cannot say enough about her and the level.of customer service she provides, she is the best.
The beach staff was the best in West bay!
Took care of people, adding cushions, grooming the beach like no other resort did!
Sargassum weed landed one day and they were the first to have the beach all cleared off, they worked relentlessly for a full day!
We love this hotel, it is casual with an awesome vibe and will be back, hopefully next year!"
"This hotel is phenomenal, I believe it’s the nicest property in West Bay and is located in front of one of the best snorkeling places on the island. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. My only complaint is that despite the hotel’s air-conditioning working very well and keeping the hotel very cool, my room (430) had a strong, musty smell, as did the lobby of that floor and the hallway, so likely other rooms also suffer from this issue too. Hopefully the hotel will fix this. "
Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"I’m not someone who usually takes the time to write reviews, but my experience at the Mayan Princess impacted me in a way I didn’t expect—and I felt like I had to share it.
From the moment I arrived, something felt different. It wasn’t just that the place is beautiful (which it is), or that everything was clean and well-kept. It was the people. There was a genuine warmth in how I was welcomed—like I wasn’t just another guest checking in, but someone they were truly happy to see.
Throughout my stay, that feeling never went away. The staff remembered my name, checked in on me, and always made sure I had what I needed. I’ve stayed at other all-inclusive resorts before, and while they were nice, this felt more personal. More human.
It created a family-like atmosphere that made it easy to relax and just enjoy being there. Traveling solo, that meant a lot. I never felt out of place or alone. Some of those staff members that stood out were Stefeny, Victor
and Brittany. Then when one of the tour guides unexpectedly canceled my pre-booked tour, the staff were able to find me a private tour guide for about the same price that was exceptional. His name was Big Daddy and knows everything and everybody. I highly recommend him if you’re going to be on the island (info@bigdaddytours.com).
The resort itself is peaceful, the beach is beautiful, everything you’d want in a getaway is there—but what truly sets this place apart is the heart behind it. The food is delicious as well.

"I had about 4 nights here. Was in the "Siesta" room. The room was clean and had the nice wood smell. Has new microwave and fridge that provided to be useful. A/C worked well and restroom was spacious. I did not use the coffee machine with the $8 coffee bag because you can simply show up to breakfast and have that coffee with the breakfast coupons. Nice chairs outside the room. I would have liked an iron and a small ironing board to have fresher looking dinner clothes, but did not matter as much. A small broom in the room would be nice so I can self clean some of the sand that I would bring in. Staff was very friendly. Robert the shuttle driver, Elda Fisher at check-in, Isaac at the restaurant, and the shuttle driver who brought me back to the airport all left a warm spot in my heart for West Bay. So did the noisy Macaws, but that was part of the beauty. I also found an iguana running through the property that I couldn't catch. The property itself had some current upkeep being done. I'd definitely choose this spot again over the overly sterile resort across the street. Oh and the food at the hotel was delicious! "
