"This is the best hotel near Western Michigan University. It is quiet, clean and without that undesirable crowd that frequents several hotels near West Michigan Ave and Drake Road.
This is quickly becoming my go-to hotel when I come to Kalamazoo. The price is very reasonable, a fair value when compared to many other hotels that charge the same price. Before I found this place I was paying more for a worn out bed in facilities that smell like someone's dog has a serious nicotine habit...
My only reason for not rating this hotel higher relates to the cleaning; nobody wipes the dust off baseboards and trim. I am also certain that the cleaning people haven't sat on the toilet with the bathroom door closed. I guess it's just an American hotel thing. The back of bathroom doors and the adjacent walls never get enough regular attention.
The breakfast is OK, but certainly could use more fresh fruit and healthy eating options. That being known, there are some good options within walking distance."
